Our Blog - Passeggiata Lungomare Europa, Italy

This was a bit of an interesting stop for us. The Passeggiata Lungomare Europa goes along a coastal stretch of the Western Ligurian Riviera for about 4 km between the town of Varazze in the south west and that of Cogoleto in the north east. It is a walkway that was built on a stretch of the former Genoa-Ventimiglia railway, which was decommissioned in 1970. Along the way, it goes under a couple of the old railway tunnels, and you can see lots of little isolated coves that people had climbed down the rocks to get to the beach. Some where laying out, some enjoying the waters edge, and a few out snorkeling.

There isn't too much to say, but just enjoy the pictures.
